David Meldrum - Executive Director

David Meldrum is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in mining engineering, investment banking, and entrepreneurship. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a unique combination of technical expertise, strategic leadership, and financial acumen, making significant contributions across various sectors including mining, technology, and finance.

David co-founded and led two successful start-ups, one of which reached an exit, showcasing his ability to drive innovation and manage complex business environments. He has raised over A$10 million in seed capital, worked with venture capital and private equity investors, and currently serves on advisory boards for emerging start-ups. Additionally, David was a key player in the successful IPO of Runge Limited, where he held leadership positions including Managing Director and Regional Manager.

His career spans several industries, from founding Minarco Pty Ltd to senior roles in global companies such as Wipro and Runge Pincock Minarco (RPM), where he was instrumental in scaling businesses and building strong teams. As Managing Director at Interlate, a data-driven process optimization start-up, he grew the company from its inception to 30 employees, showcasing his capability in both leadership and technological innovation. He is also well-versed in mining operations, having worked at various levels from underground miner to Mine Manager, and in financial management, including capital raising, P&L responsibility, and shareholder reporting.
